Rob Walton
Rob is a writer from Scunthorpe, who now lives in Whitley Bay. He writes poetry and fiction for both adults and children.
Rob is a former teacher who now visits schools, libraries and festivals to read his work and run writing sessions. His words have appeared in various anthologies and magazines.
Arachne Press published his debut collection, This Poem Here, in 2021, and The Emma Press published his collection of stories for children, Please Don't Read the Footnotes Please, in 2025.
Other publishers include Atrium, Butcher's Dog, Bloomsbury, Candlestick, Macmillan, Northern Gravy, Under the Radar, IRON Press, Smith/Doorstop, Dunlin Press and Strix.
He has also written scripts, a memorial pathway and columns for Scunthorpe United's matchday magazine.
Tillering Tree
Tillering Tree is Malcolm Burke, Elke Meiborg and Wim Tommassen. They are based in upper Coquetdale and bring an eclectic mix of European and Uk folk music. They sing and play flute, box, guitar, Northumbrian pipes and spoons
