Tillering Tree
Elke Meiborg, Malcolm Burke and Wim Tommassen are the folk trio Tillering Tree (the name derives from an old archery term).
Malcolm is a local North Englander, but Wim and Elke come from the North Netherlands, and together they will take you flying across the European folk scene. With both modern and traditional songs and tunes from Northumberland, Wales, the Netherlands, Sweden, France and more, ranging from Balfolk waltzes to three-part harmony singing, the trio bring together an eclectic mix of folk influences to create a unique contemporary folk music experience.
Elke Meiborg: Melodeon, Northumbrian pipes and concertina, and vocals
Malcolm Burke: Flute, saxophone and vocals
Wim Tommassen: Guitar, fiddle and vocals.
